Flyers Re-Sign Coburn

The Philadelphia Flyers continued building up the defense by re-signing Braydon Coburn to a two-year deal worth $6.4 million Thursday afternoon.

Coburn had a mediocre regular season, but stepped up his game during the Flyers run in the playoffs.

The Flyers now have a big defense from one through five: Chris Pronger, Kimmo Timonen, Braydon Coburn, Matt Carle and Andrej Meszaros.

The Flyers now have roughly $2.67 million left in cap space with several other free agents on the team left to be signed.
