Tanguay Signs with Flames

Alex Tanguay has signed with the Calgary Flames from the Tampa Bay Lightning for a one year deal at $1.7 million. Tanguay was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in 1998 in the first round. He was picked 12th overall. During his tenure with the Avalanche he was highly productive, once his numbers began to slide they dealt him off to the Flames who had him for two years before sending them to the Habs. The Habs then dealt him to the Lightning. It appears Tanguay was never able to find the rhythm or chemistry after leaving the Avalanche or Flames. Given the right team, he can help their offense out.
