Blue Jackets sign Nate Guenin, Trevor Frischmon, Kyle Wilson


The Columbus Blue Jackets today signed defenseman Nate Guenin and forwards Trevor Frishmon and Kyle Wilson all to one-year, two-way NHL-AHL contracts.

Hailing from Sewickley, Pennsylvania the former Ohio State d-man Guenin has appeared in only 14 career NHL games with Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, posting two assists and six penalty minutes total. He was +11 in 68 AHL games with the the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Peoria Rivermen.

Trevor Frischmon grew up in Ham Lake, MN before heading to Colorado Springs to play at Colorado College. In his four years with the Tigers he recorded 30 goals, 36 assists in 160 games. He made his NHL debut with the Columbus Blue Jackets in Chicago.

Kyle Wilson made his NHL debut with the Washington Capitals and recorded two assists against the Colorado Avalanche. He spent most of his time with the Hershey Bears, helping them win back to back Calder Cup Championships. During his tenure there he played games with goals and assists. Prior to joining Hershey he played at Colgate College.
