Miller Time Continues in Detroit

The Red Wings announced today that they have resigned left wing Drew Miller to a one-year $650,000 deal.

The East Lansing native and Michigan State product played in 66 games for Detroit last season after being picked up on waivers from Tampa Bay in November. Miller, 26, provided a much needed shot in the arm to the Wings penalty killing unit and notched a career best 10 goals and 9 assists.

Miller, who is the younger brother of Sabres standout goaltender Ryan Miller, will qualify for unrestricted free agency when his contract expires next summer.
