Flames add former Oiler

Limited to 27 games in the 09/10 season due to a knee injury that required surgery the former 2nd round draft pick (32nd overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins is looking to have a bounce-back year.  At age 25 and with just 35 NHL games under his belt, Stone has not shown the skills of the scoring star he was with the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings. A solid two-way player, he will be counted on to provide depth at the center position and to bring a tough, energy game and possibly chip in a few points.  The key is for Stone to avoid the injuries that have plagued his career to date – a consistent and full year may just revive some of his offensive skills.
